Founded in 2022 by writer/director Ashley Pitman, our small but mighty team of filmmakers, editors, and creatives is passionate about delivering high-quality video content that connects. Michael Lahood
Cinematographer | DOP | Camera Operator

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Michael Lahood is a passionate and versatile cinematographer with over seven years of experience behind the lens. Known for his strong visual instincts, Michael brings a distinctive moody, cinematic style to everything he shoots—whether it’s a high-end commercial or an intimate documentary.

Michael's background in the fitness industry gives him a unique edge: he’s fast on his feet, agile on set, and thrives in high-pressure environments. Whether leading large crews or running solo as a one-man band, he knows how to get the shot.

He’s worked on campaigns for top-tier brands including New Balance, Coca-Cola, Qantas, Lexus, and Lululemon, and has shot narrative films, branded content, and one feature-length movie. His technical skill, combined with a creative eye for lighting, framing, and mood, makes him a true asset to any production.

Outside of filmmaking, Michael is a dedicated fitness enthusiast, proud Samoyed owner, and soon-to-be dad.

Ashley Pitman

Romanian-born and Kiwi-raised, Ashley Pitman is a filmmaker with a deep love for story, style, and collaboration. Working in the film and television industry since 2010, Ashley has carved out a career as a writer, director, and creative producer—crafting short films, documentaries, music videos, and branded content that are visually rich and emotionally grounded.

Ashley’s career began filming eSports and corporate projects, but his passion has always been narrative storytelling. His work blends comedy and drama, exploring universal themes through a distinctly human lens. From BBC Knowledge and Loading Docs to independent festival darlings, his films have screened internationally and earned acclaim—including award-winning performances in his recent self-funded short The Box.

In 2022, Ashley founded Pitman Films, now growing into a full creative agency producing high-quality video content for clients across Aotearoa. With a strong eye for talent, story, and production management, Ashley thrives on collaboration and leading creative teams through ambitious productions—big or small.

When he’s not behind the camera, you’ll find him running long distances, rolling at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or deep in a fantasy tabletop campaign.

Fauze Hassen
Film Editor | Storyteller | Post-Production Specialist

Born in the creative chaos of São Paulo, Brazil, Fauze Hassen is a filmmaker, poet, and visual artist with an exceptional eye for story and structure. Now based in New Zealand, Fauze brings over 15 years of professional experience in video editing and post-production, shaping narratives that resonate across genres and formats.

His editing career began at ESPN Brazil in 2008, where he honed his craft cutting documentaries, news segments, and promotional content. Since then, he’s worked on a diverse range of video projects—from commercials and branded content to TV shows, feature films, and cinematic documentaries.

Fauze is known for his intuitive sense of pacing, deep understanding of story arcs, and his ability to elevate footage into something emotionally powerful. He thrives on collaboration, adapts easily across styles, and consistently delivers high-impact edits that connect with audiences.

Now a key figure in the New Zealand film and video production scene, Fauze continues to collaborate with filmmakers and creatives on projects that challenge convention and explore bold new ways of storytelling
